Ted Stevens Day - Lab Open House in Juneau

To celebrate Ted Stevens Day the Alaska Fisheries Science Center will host an open house on Friday July 24th, 2015 at their Ted Stevens Marine Research Institute.

NOAA scientists will lead guided tours while explaining the research projects conducted at the lab. There will also be touch tanks, an aquarium, and an appearance by the U.S. Coast Guard Auxilary mascot Sammy the Sea Otter. Information booths will be hosted by Alaska seafood and fishing organizations, and other groups that work to protect Alaska’s fisheries and marine resources.

Come and observe first hand Senator Stevens’ contributions to managing and protecting Alaska’s vitally important fisheries.

TSMRI is one of NOAA’s leading science facilities and is the headquarters of the Auke Bay Laboratories, a division of Alaska Fisheries Science Center.

The facility is located north of Juneau at 17109 Point Lena Loop Road.
