User Guide: Query Icon

Clicking on this "icon" will activate the query function below the map. The query is the most technical element of the interactive map. If you are not familiar with querying a database you might need to practice before achieving your intended results! The query function is available for the active animal only. One example of a query follows (using the Eastern Aleutian deployments):
     1.     Select your "Field", in this case "PTT".
     2.     Select your "operator", in this case "=".
     3.     Click on the "Get Samples" button! A new "Sample Values" screen will appear.
     4.     Select a value from the list, in this case there is only "28553".
     5.     Click on "Add to Query String", your query will appear next to the button.
     6.      Click the "Execute" button, and the results will appear below the map window. The results show all the transmission records, of the animal that has transmitter #28533 attached to it, until the transmitter no longer functions or has been analyzed to be unreliable. These records will be scrollable in 25 record increments and linked for over 25, in our query there were 233 records. There is also a link to "Zoom to These Records".
