Table name	Definition
NORPAC.GEAR_CATEGORIES	This table connects the GEAR_CATEGORY code with its DESCRIPTION.

Column name	Type	Definition
GEAR_CATEGORY	number(2,0)	A two-digit numeric code indicating the gear category.
DESCRIPTION	varchar2(40)	1 = Trawl; 2 = Longliner; 3 = Pot; 4 = Jig.
