Jassalyn Bradbury
Southern OR Univ.
Worked on golden king crab cultivation, juvenile diet, embryonic development, and hatching studies.During her college career she traveled extensively through Central America participating in tropical rainforest studies including work with hummingbirds, forest structure and invertebrates.
Jassalyn is interested in conservation biology as well as field and research experience in marine biology and fisheries.
During Jassalyn's internship with the AFSC's Kodiak Research Lab she assisted with the feeding and growth recording of golden king crab. In addition to cleaning tanks, Jassalyn helped with setting up systems for experimental culture of crabs.
Her work entailed assisting with the embryology, development, and hatch timing study which involves sampling eggs, digital photomicroscopy, image analysis, and entering data in Excel.
